9 Bible Verses to Start Your Day

It is a good routine to read the bible every morning. Do you make time for God’s word or do you hustle once your feet hit the floor? Reading only one bible verse in the morning can get you prepared to start your day. And I have gathered some of the best bible verses for you. Let’s get started!

Often people think that spending time with the Lord means spending an hour or more with him. So they get discouraged and don’t spend any time with him at all. But I am here to tell you that it doesn’t matter how much time you spend with God. Giving him just 5 min of your day is better than nothing at all. I talk to God throughout my entire day. So there is no right or wrong way or special formula to spending one on one time with the Lord.

I encourage you to choose a verse and read it every morning before you begin your day and see how it can impact your life. You can read it while you’re getting ready in front of the bathroom mirror or you can read it while you eat breakfast. Once you read it a few times it will be easy for you to memorize it and then you can recite it anytime throughout the day. Pick one verse and stick with it for a week and see how it changes your mind and heart.

BIBLE VERSES TO START YOUR DAY

The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. (Lamentations 3: 22-23)
You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! (Isaiah 26: 3)
But as for me, I will sing about your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress. (Psalms 59: 16)
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. (Matthew 6: 33)
For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. (Philippians 4: 13)
Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4: 6-7)
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. (2 Timothy 1: 7)
For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and hope. (Jeremiah 29: 11)
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! (2 Corinthians 5: 17)

MORNING PRAYER

Good Morning Heavenly Father,

Thank you so much for this day you have given me. I give you all the worries of today and all that I need to accomplish over to you. I ask for your will be done. Help me to accept whatever comes my way with grace. And allow me to glorify you in all that I do today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

CONCLUSION

I know when I don’t spend just a little time with the Lord each morning my day doesn’t seem to get off on the right foot. When you don’t allow God to take control of your day you allow Satan to gain a foothold. My prayer is that you will develop a desire to want to spend your mornings with God. And after sharing these powerful morning bible verses with you, you will be better equipped to tackle anything Satan may throw your way.
