Many people including Christians struggle with weak faith. This can result from losing a loved one, experiencing some form of trauma, or it could be as simple as getting bored with the Christian faith. What ever it maybe you need to remember that you can always come back to God. It may not be easy but actively trying to reach out to God and relying more on him can help you gain that faith back. In this article I want to give you a few tips and some bible verses that may help you to restore your faith back in God.

STRUGGLING WITH FAITH BIBLE VERSES

Here are some bible verses to help you if you are struggling with your faith. Pick a verse that stands out to you and focus or meditate on that verse everyday for the next week. I promise the more you focus on that verse the better you will feel and your faith will grow.

Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Jesus looked at them intently and said, "Humanly speaking , it is impossible. But with God everything is possible." (Matthew 19:26)
And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19)
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. (Ephesians 3:20)

5 TIPS TO HELP RESTORE YOUR FAITH

Listen to recorded sermons. I like to go on youtube and type in a subject that I am struggling with and then I pick a sermon that speaks to me and I watch it. There are so many different sermons out there. Doing this encourages me and it helps to boost my weak faith. Listening to others talk about their faith will strengthen your faith too.

Trust God to work things out. Sometimes you may pray for a long time and you lose your faith because nothing is happening. But it is in these moments that God wants you to trust him before he will answer your prayers. (Philippians 4:19)

Pray consistently. I tend to pray all day long. In the shower, doing dishes, folding laundry, you get the idea. You need to talk to God like he is in the room with you. He is your heavenly father and he wants to hear from you. He longs and desires it. So don’t be afraid to let it all out. (Ephesians 6:18)

Know the scriptures. Now this doesn’t mean you need to be an expert at knowing the bible. But the more you do know the more you will rely on the scriptures and trust God. Read his promises, memorize the promises, and repeat the promises daily for encouragement.

I pick a verse that applys to my need (Google your topic to find verses) and then I repeat it everytime I am bothered or worried about the need. God wants you to rely on him and his word and his power. The bible has so much knowledge for your everyday life concerns. Any question you may have you will find the answers in the bible. (Psalms 119:105)

Try taking at least 5 to 10 minutes a day with no tv or cell phone to read God’s word. It needs to be a priority if you want it to strengthen your faith. Even if you start out small God will lead you from where you are at in your journey with him. And in time you will be able to sit with God for more than 10 minutes and recite his word without even looking at it.

Be an example to others. You are to show others the love of Christ within you. You are to take what you have learned and be loving towards one another. You are to be encouraging and you are to build each other up. You need to be a joyful person who doesn’t complain and who practices thankfulness and forgiveness. Let your actions draw people closer to God. (Matthew 5:16)
